Cryotherapy is the body’s exposure to subzero temperatures used to promote a natural anti-inflammatory response, release endorphins, reduce pain and spasms, boost cellular survival and promote overall health. Cryotherapy is most commonly used as a quick recovery technique, energy booster or weight-loss technique.

Although those are the most common uses for Cryotherapy, there is a wide range of mental and physical benefits which also occur. These benefits include anti-aging and skin tightening, depression/ anxiety treatment, inflammation and pain treatment, mobility improvement, an immune system boost, improves flexibility, detoxification, cellular repair and restoration, increased metabolism rate, improved sleep, migraine treatment and many more.

How long is each session

A WBC treatment is two to three minutes in duration; however, you may end the session at any time.

How does Cryotherapy compare to an ice bath?

The benefits of a three-minute WBC treatment are equivalent to that of a fourty to fourty five-minute ice bath. Unlike an ice bath, there is no downtime to cryotherapy.

Is it safe?

Yes, at The Champions Edge Recovery & Well-being we take safety very serious. Our technicians are trained to identify all safety measure prior to and during your session.

Is nitrogen dangerous?

No, nitrogen is a friendly, non-toxic gas. Nitrogen composes 78% of the air we breathe.  The other components are 16% Oxygen, 1% Hydrogen and 5% other gases.  Nitrogen is as common as Oxygen

How do I feel after a session?

WBC stimulates the body to release endorphins, the hormones that make us feel alert and energetic.  The buoyant effects from each session typically last six to eight hours.

How long is a compression therapy session?

Each session is 10 to 30 minutes long, depending on what the client wants.
